  Nothing but knowledgeable, helpful, professionals here. My television wouldn't turn on and thought it might be the power cable. Figured it was worth checking out before jumping into buying a whole new tv. Went to Best Buy to see if they carried any off brand power cables to fit my tv. Told the guy my situation, he said they don't have anything like that. Asked him if they could check of the cable was working so I would at least know if that was the issue, he said they couldn't do that. Finally asked if he knew anyone that could help me, he said no and that I'd have to buy the part online. Few hours later went to Radio Shack, told the guy the same story and he says "Yeah we have what your looking for". I then ask if he can check if the cable is working, he says "Yeah let's take a look". He checked the voltage, even went as far as to get a second opinion, found out it didn't in fact work, set me up with an extremely cool and easy to use product, and told me if it didn't work to bring it back for a refund. Long story short dont waste your time and money at Best Buy cause they don't know what they're doing. Give your business to a place that does.
